The Minnesota legislature and governor have taken many steps this year to further entrench abortion in Minnesota law. Not only was the Protect Reproductive Options Act signed into law, but the legislature is still attempting to pass a number of provisions that would erase bipartisan common-sense health and safety measures for women and girls seeking abortions, protect infants born alive following an attempted abortion, and would expand taxpayer funding of abortion in Minnesota among more provisions to further expand abortion and more in our state. As Catholics we are called to prayerfully act to protect all life, especially the most vulnerable. Not only is it vital to pray for our legislators, to learn about the legislative process, and to become familiar with the Capitol, but we also need to be in contact with our legislators so that they can better represent us. You can easily contact your legislators on a range of issues by visiting Minnesota Catholic Conference's Catholic Advocacy Network Action Center below.
The Minnesota Catholic Conference created a one-page handout that helps explain what is happening with the health omnibus bill. Read it by clicking below:

We must also keep praying for the innate dignity of all persons to be recognized, for God's plan for humanity to be upheld, and the complete protection of those most vulnerable. Please pray with us:
Most precious Lord, You dwelt within the womb of your dear mother, sanctifying the womb, and elevating the dignity of all human life. I pray today for the full legal protection of every unborn child. I also pray that every heart that supports abortion will be changed so as to experience the freedom that comes from living in the Truth. I offer to You, this day, all my sufferings and sacrifices to help atone for every violation against human dignity committed through acts of abortion. Please bring healing, hope, and freedom to all. Mother Mary, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.
